tank sitting to long?

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how long is too long for a tank to sit empty? My 75 has been sitting for about 3 months now with no water, should I reseal it again before filling it or do you think it would be ok? I had resealed it planning to use it then we had to move and I had no room for it, now I have a new place and spot for it just waiting for the stand to be finished.

Where was it sitting?

3 months isn't very long at all, I would just carefully fill it, slowly, and watch for any leaks, if you see none, let it sit over night. If there's no escaped water you're good to go.

I'm sure it's fine, but test it to be sure.

I have a 30? year old 190l tank here that was sitting empty for 15 years. I filled it and started using it again a couple of years ago... No problems. If you had a tank sitting a long time, like years, then fill it outside to test it. But 3 months is nothing...

Ok thanks so much....I SO hated the thought of having to go through the whole resealing regamarole!!!! That was a HUGE pain in my ***, and I thought I was going to pass out from the smell of the silicone I just knew I read something about if a tank sits for a while it may need resealed before you use it, wasn't sure how long it took for that, now I just can't wait till my stand is done, my cousin has the metal finally just waiting for him to get the time to weld it together!!!

I also have a almost 15 year old 90 gal. AGA tank, Built 4/92 and it was sitting in my basement empty, so I put it in my garage and filled it, and also not a drop leaked out.
But my cousin had a 55 gal. Dell, and I don't know how long it sat for but at least 10 years, and it "popped", it was on the first floor of his house and all the water went into his basement all over his model trains.
I mentioned name brands for what it's worth.
I would think some or most tanks sit in LFS's and wharehouse's for at least 3 months, so I would not worry.
Good luck, but I would do as I and amosf did and fill it first in a safe area, but like he said 3 month's is nothing.
