I've got a pair of paradise fish on the way, and I was told (and read in a few places) that a 10g heavily planted tank was fine, but then I saw a few other places saying that they need larger tanks. I've seen all sorts of tank sizes listed ranging from 2.5g to 40g... so, will the 10g work for them or not?

Ok, maybe someone can answer this one: will paradise fish coexist peacefully with kuhli loaches or will they view them as high-end spaghetti? (yeah, I really don't want to try catching the 7 kuhlis from my 35g)

I would say the 15-20 would be best, but a 10 could work for a while. They are slow swimmers but the extra length may be nice for them. As for the loaches i would say 50% chance they are snacks if they are small.

The common Blue Paradise fish will do fine a 20gal, and I only see the loaches being lunch if they fit in their mouths.

Eh, guess it'll have to be the 35g then, I don't have anything between that and 10g's. Thanks. :)

20g minimum, and you should not keep more than one per tank.

Everywhere I've read says male + female pairs are fine in planted tanks, so I'm going to try it. If things go wrong I can shuffle tanks again.
