Tank/Stand Renovation (Update the Look)

Okay, so I was given this tank. I really didn't have a room for it, except in our bedroom (20'x19'). I know why not a bigger tank. Only problem is she wouldn't like the look of the Tank. So, after trial and error and really wanted something quick. I came up with this.

I sanded and painted the tank Black and added new hardware, hinges, knob, and magnetic to help keep door closed. I ended up using Foil tape for the tank and painted the back of the tank black. more pics

looks great. What you plan to stock it with?

Not sure what I'm going to stock with. Right now, I'm looking at a Rena XP2 canister, but lighting the top is still and issue. Not sure if I want to use old top, a new glass top & some new light maybe one by Current. So, if any one has Ideas and links or pics let me know. New to the hobbie, this is my stepping stone to a Salt water tank.

oo salt water tank.. I think you would get more help with it in the marine section of the forums.. Perhaps a mod could move it there.

hmmm, now that you mention it, a reef would look kinda cool in that tank. Though, find the right driftwood, and a nice planted tank would also look awesome.
