What kind of Pleco should I get? Do they need live plants? Thanks,

Depending on the pleco you get, some will need wood to aid digestion but plenty will make it a refuge anyway. Get the small species such as Panaque maccus.

Get some silverdollars and a pictis catfish!

rubber lip plecos are pretty cool, and they only get to around 6 inches.

but, they get a little territorial around feeding time and there ahve been a few cases where they just stop eating.
