Which tank trim/stand combo do you like better?

The black on black just seems more modern looking to me.... But alot depends on the decor in the room you are putting the tank in.

I have both!. I have a bowfront between my light colored couches with hardwood floors so that one is oak and my 72 gallon is in a completely white built in bookcase so that one is black.

wood is timeless, black follows trends...wood or wood effect is a safer bet to me

Most of the decor in our house is black so I've stuck with that. They both look good, it just depends on your tastes and what decor you're trying to match.

agreed, while I like more of a natural/dark wood effect, I would think the decor of the tank and stand depends on that of your home.

Black trim tank on a real wood stand. I think the printed 'woodgrain' tank trim just looks too fake-y. Most black stands I've seen are spraypainted wood/OSB/particle board and don't look nearly as nice as a real oak or other real wood stand.

OTOH, I wouldn't got buy another tank or paint the trim black if i already had a woodgrain tank...i'm just not that fussy.
