tankmate for oscar

oscars

i wouldnt put your black ghost with the oscar as im pretty sure that it'l be investigated and pecked at and most likely eaten if it is not the same size as the oscar, stick to plecos certain catfish and some large cichlids as well as tinfoil barbs

I keep my Oscars with a Green Severum and a Cuban Cichlid and they all get along fine. My Oscar's are very unaggressive though. I did have a Blood Parrot that both my Oscar's took an immediate disliking to though. Very strange...

I wouldn't recommend them with a Black Ghost Knife as they are very inactive and Oscars are very curious fish. I also think BGK's are very slow growing fish so you may have a meal for your Oscar in a few months.

Take a look at my signature, all those fish are fine with Oscars.Providing you have a big enough tank.

i have 3 pacus 1 oscar 2 peacock cichlids 1 jewel cichlid 1 large pleco and a violet goby all housed with my ghost knife fish they all get along fine make sure you have a hiding spot for the ghost knife fish

Violet gobies are brackish and will not thrive long-term in a freshwater tank like that.
