Tankmates for a jag?

Hmm, I like the giant danio idea, I think they're cool fish. SDs might work too, though if they get beat up I couldn't put them in a planted tank. I'll have to see how much room I have when I move, if I can have a backup 75g then I may try the vieja.

His tail is healing well, and I swear he's already grown since I got him on Friday. His color in person is a lot better, the flash washes him out.
 
Yea I would try a pair which I may end up doing some day soon. All this Jag talk here and with a member from MFK has me wanting to get a pair. Silver Dollars will work in a 125. They worked fine in my 135 which is the same footprint as a 125 gallon just 135 is taller. I actually had Silver Dollars and Giant Danios and they did look pretty awesome. Sadly some of the GD's jumped ship and the SD eventually died off from frieght and 2 from having there jaws broken.

The change in color has made him look bigger and more lively of course. It most deff is a Jag. Nice lil guy/gal.

As I remember when I used to keep one I was able to vent it accurately at 5+in
 
Feed well, have a good diet, keep the water warm and clean, and he'll reach that size in no time

That's my plan. Right now he's getting NLS thera-a twice a day, and occasional bloodworms, glassworms, and spirulina brine shrimp. Water changes will be like my other tanks, 50% weekly minimum.
