I hate bringing up old topics, but....
So tomorrow is the big day. My new wild festaes will be arriving! But I'm doing something completely unconventional from what I have read on the Internet. However I trust the advice that I have been given.
I'm ordering the fish from a fellow Canadian by the name of Spencer Jack. He's easily the Canadian "guru" of cichlids and one of the most respected cichlid experts in North America. He's also the founder and president of the Canadian Cichlid Association.
He told me that having one or two red terrors in a tank is absolutely lethal (his words). However when the tank is overstocked like a Malawi tank - the aggression really spreads itself out.
In my case, he recommended 12 festaes for my 125. I know it sounds absurd. Crazy even. But he told me that he has other clients with the same configuration and even after three years there hasn't been a single death.
So 12 festaes are being shipped to me via air tomorrow night. Oh man I can't wait!
