It's not always a matter of feeding the fish more flake food, bloodworms, etc. Some individual fish are very aggressive with hunting, like star_rider was saying. It's similar to how you can feed your cat twice daily, but it will still go out and prey on large insects and small rodents.
exactly, my angels just seem aggressive.. they are fed twice daily flake in the morning and bloodworm/brineshrimp/pellets in the evening. many of my angels are pairs.
that said I also keep Wild P. Scalare Peruvian. these are also a bit more agressive at feeding/hunting/stalking than domestic angels.
all of my angels will pick at large snails..the mts are safe as they tend to be hard shelled and there is less to pick at.. not sure why the ramshorns are safe maybe they don't taste as good
otocinclus are considered food for my angels tho other angles may leave them alone.
neons..fergetaboutit. black neons and cardinals are safe..tho they chase the cardinals.
bolivian rams..good choice.. the rams will hold their own against the angels.. same is true with Apisto. Borelli.. even small ones have faced off with the angels. I had a 1" apisto hold it's own against a big adult male angel.
heck they seem to hang near the angel most of the time
so safe to assume other small cichlids may be fine with angels too.(forgot that one)
