Tankmates for Angelfish

Hello all,

I'm setting up a new 29G (bowfront). I'm filling it up right now, and haven't even begun cycling, so I've got some time to think about what to stock it with.

At any rate, I've been debating between a cichlid tank and a general freshwater tank.

If I were to go with a couple angels, what else could/should I put in with them to make a good tank system?

Hmm I like that idea. How about danios / mollies?

The danios might be to active for the angels. The mollies should be OK or maybe some mid size tetras.

IMO yes...not good tank mates for angels.

not to hijack the thread but could i keep discus and angels together in a 60gal

I've heard some people say Discus and Angels work together and some people say it doesn't.

Probably be fine, but just remember Discus always do best in a species only tank.

Rummy nose tetras go nicely with angels.
