Tankmates for betta?

Thanks for the replies everyone. It gives me an idea on what to do. I think I'll try maybe 2 danios or white clouds. We'll see? Thanks again.

i think danios and white clouds are schooling fish so they wouldnt be very happy with only two,you need about 6, and you dont have the room in a six gallon.i would go with shrimp or snails,i love my yellow mystery snail,heres a pic.

shrimp+snails would be the best tankmates, but if you really want another fish, you could try 2-3 otos once it's been up for a few months, but a snail and a few shrimp would really be best IMO. oh, and ABSOLUTLEY no goldfish.

I have 20 betta and most of them stay with mollies and platies. I have to house my half moon dragons and plakats by there selfs, anything that gets in the tanks with them is killed. The vail tails and the crown tails I can house them with any number of other tank mates. I thank it has to do with the spices and type of betta.

I wasn't even thinking about doing goldfish. Someone else said they have that setup. I was going to do danios or white clouds but I think just snails for now. I was also thinking about doing some live plants in it so I think it may look neat with just the betta and snails for company. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks......Now what plants is another ideal I need to look into.

There's sevral that work great with bettas. I use sunsey hydro and java moss or java ferns. A really nice plant i use it in almost all my low light ,low tech Tanks is cyrpti wendti.
