Tankmates for Gourami

Yeah, females are next to impossible to find. Don't ask me why, but they are for some reason. I think, that maybe they don't want a whole lot of local gourami breeders for some reason, maybe gouramis are there best selling fish and they don't want to lose business. Or, They just don't sell females very well, so why stock them.

I've seen females at petsmart. Before buying a pleco, or any fish, think about the fish's eventual size. Most fish you buy, are not full grown. If you want to get 2, its best to get 1 male and 1 female for such a small tank. I've read before that you can even maybe get like a female powder blue and then an orange male, just make sure they are both dwarf guarami.

In my 10 gallon, I have a couple of panda corydoras catfish. They grow to about 1-1 1/2 inches. Some of the cutest fish you've ever seen. Very active. Get more than 1 for best results.
