Don't know if this will work.

I Live in Texas though,,

you linked us to your comp. try using photobucket or upload them here.

75 gal is the min for one oscar. also dont take 5 years to get full grown. in a year and a half two years it will be full grown.

as for the pacu.... they grow min 30 inch and will need a lot bigger of tank. some grow to over 6 feet depending on the specie.

ok try again

they are red bellied. I did not buy them, they were here in a 55 when I bought the house,, the previous owners left them. I didn't want them. I am trying to give them to someone who can take care of them,,,.

I will keep the oscar,, try to get other oscars after I find a home for the Pacu.

Hope the uploads work.

Thank you guys for all the information. Regarding the tank setup for the Oscars, I live right next to Missouri river, which washes quite a bit of driftwood onto this one area so no purchase necessary there. There's also tons of rock they dumped there to prevent the river from eating too much into the banks. The last time I decorated my tank, I found some pieces of rock that had shells and some other living things imprints on them, kind of like fossils so that was pretty cool.
Anyway, I've decided to get a bristlenose so I won't have to worry too much about algae. If for some reason it doesn't work out, I can always transfer it to my smaller tank. I'm still skeptical, however, about using fake plants. To me, it has to be as close to the natural environment as I can possibly create. That's some headache right there. Anyway, I'll post some pics as soon as my tank's ready.
