I need to know what some good tankmates are for zebra danios and a pleco, it is a ten gallon with four zebra danios and a pleco ( the pleco will be moved soon to a larger tank but needs fish that will be compatible for the meantime) so what are some fish that could go along with them? answers are greatly appreciated!

Well, in my opinion and from experience, a 10g is alot smaller that we realize when it comes to housing fish. Get that pl*co in a new home, and get some more zebra danios to make a nice schooling group--maybe a total of 10. You might get one "showcase" fish larger than the danios to create a nice focal point, but I tell ya, when my little red-eye tetras started growing in my 10g (6 of them) I moved them into the 44g. They just couldn't swim much. Just my 2 taters' worth.

How big is the pleco right now? The pleco is hindering your stocking options right now because it produces a lot more waste than the average fish. :dive:

Too true. There WAS 2 2-3 inch plecos in a 20g tall I used to vulenteer to tak care of, and every week the substrate was just disgusting; you could even see some of the fish waste on the surface of the gravel and when I got the gravel vac out, well, the water was arguably more fish waste than water. There was only a rainbow (unidentified) and two mollies in the tank with them.
