Tanks evolving

A little pictorial review of what i'm doing.

1st 3 gal. setup. Betta and a couple ghost shrimp, mondo grass, melon sword?, and hornwort.



3 gal. after letting hornwort float behind fence at top so as not to shade c. wendtii too much. Bit of algae problem tryng to balance out. 2 neons, 1 oto and 2 ghost Shrimp. Betta moved to other tank to allow fins to heal after bad clown loach experience cl is now back at lfs.



.9 gal. betta tank for fin recovery.



10 gal. planted QT with 3 neons to add with the 2 in other tank. c. wendtii bronze, java fern, frill and moneywort?



3 gal. after removing barrel ornament and adding 3 neons, java fern, anubias and some driftwood.



.9 gal. betta rehab after adding some drift wood and java fern for more room for swimming and more natural feel.

Newest pic of 3g with all inhabitants but 1 ghost shrimp visable, Neons of course have no park breaks for photo shoots. Added some moneywort and frill. Frill is not doing well I just don't have the light it need I guess. Removed devider at top.

New picture of 3gl. Still have bad camera lol.

Lots of growth in crypt and java fern (1 fern to about 8 I think). Driftwood is hardly visible anymore. Algae growths are a recurring problem.

Added between 11 and 13 RCS, about 7 to 9 seem to have managed not to get ate. 2 are berried but the java moss I got for cover is not very thick so not to optimistic unless the crypt turns out to be thick enough to protect some young.

Red gravel and very small RCS made a bad combination but not sure I want to mess with changing to black sand because the tank is so small and is very easy to upset may just leave things as they are for now. They do stand out on the plants though so I do get to see them.

RCS are making a very noticeable difference in algae. Everything in the tank is much cleaner than in this picture.

DIY overflow in back left and W/D filter have been taken off for now. Not sure why but can't get check valve to stay installed so overflow is not working properly and I removed till I can figure out if it is me or the grandkids breaking it lol. But man it sure makes the water clear when it's working.

Just realized how long these Neon Tetras have been in here after looking at the original post seems like the ones that made it out of QT were hardy anyway. The Harlequin Rasbora have been fine they colored up nicely and have doubled in size.
