Anybody ever wonder why tanks come in such odd sizes?

I was always wondering why tanks just don''t go up be 5g incriments. I see 10gs, 20gs, but then i see ones like 29g, 46g, 72g. What is up with that.

Interesting question coming from an american...:)

Have you ever thought why use feet, gallons, and pounds instead of meters, liters and grams? ;)

Sounds like preference,i prefer to use cms and meters to feet and inches, litres to gallon, centimeters, meters and litres are more complicated including the 111.16 litres for example

The volumes are odd but the outside dimensions aren't. They build tanks to be fairly standard lengths/widths/heights rather than standard volumes.

Someone said I don't really have an 80 Gallon.
Made me look! hahaha :D

Don't think so we have our own standard, usually use british measurements like centimeters, meters and litres
