tanks with pvc

well Ill wait and see what they have to say and if its too pricey Ill think twice about the starfire.would be nice though....Never want to buy a tank again type thing going on here

For me, it was an extra $100 to have a 30"x24" pane of glass be starphire instead of regular glass. Not saying that is what you will pay, especially if you are buying more glass it will probably be cheaper, but still quite a bit extra added to the cost.

If you think about it, an extra ..say $600 over a course of 20years really isnt all that much.I dont mind paying a little extra for something that Ill have for a long time.I do think shipping is whats going to hurt....real bad...make me walk funny...

I like the idea of a pvc bottom tank with glass sides. I'd even be into a pvc back. Imagine being able to just drill a hole when you need to, without worrying about it cracking or anything? That would be great. If they have a good bonding techique, I'd give it a shot. With all the routing they do, I would love to see something where a pvc base/bottom is groved to accept the vertical glass panels, but extends beyond the glass to form a round over, or decorative bead. It would be perfect for small tanks where you aren't going to hide the bottom with your stand edge.
