tattooed fish

Unfortunately this kind of thing goes on all of the time in this world. It is very sad that everything revolves around the almighty dollar. If there is money to be made by this and there are no laws in place to protect these animals, this practice will continue as long as there is a demand for them. At one time they did horrible things to children in the work force until there were laws put in place to protect them. If they think they can get away with it, they will.

Tatooing fish is sick. But it does go on in other animal areas. All thoroughbred racehorses are tattooed on their lip before they are allowed to race on the track. Even though this makes more sense, identification purposes vs. "asthetics", I still think it is rather cruel to do to poor horses as well. Personally, I don't think that the dyed fish look good at all, especially those parrots with the lip stick. Ewwww.

It saddens me that we live in a world where its all about us. People don't see a problem with hurting animals just as long as the end product is 'fun'. Why people that do things like this aren't punished amazes me. If I took dogs cut off 2 legs and shaved them in the name of 'fun' and tried to sell them I would be a monster. Yet this to most is not considered evil, nor does it even affect them. "It's just a fish." Is a fish any less valid as a life than a cat, a dog, or a human. I could rant for hours but I'll cut myself off there.

I agree. I know some people that love their pet dogs and are also big hunters with dead animals on the wall. It just dosent add up.
