I read that thread a couple of years ago and thought, "that's so crazy it just might work". I have made plans to try it for myself, but haven't yet. I guess part of me is apprehensive of the idea.

I have an "Amazon" tank upstairs in my son's room. 65g, was thinking of trying it to see how it works. Regular green tea can't hurt, really.

The only thing that makes me apprehensive is that my water is pretty soft how it is, so I'll have to monitor my KH and GH to see how it affects it, if at all.

I've seen this guys stuff before. I looked around, and I found him on Tom Griffin's site, but he's not posted there for quite a while also. I thought I remembered reading his stuff on Toms site before it changed servers and I couldn't find it anymore. He has his own site, the skepticalaquarist, but from the looks of it it's not been maintained for some time. Wonder if anyone knows what happened to him?

I saw a blurb posted on a site that was dated the beginning of 2005. It said that he was no longer maintaining the Skeptical Aquarist.

I find that sad. I could learn a lot from him.

I also wonder why. Anyone else know?
