Good home required. I want someone to give them what I can't, a large pond or aquarium with other goldfish to pal around with. I have two. One is about 2 inches body length, getting there at least. The other is about 1/2 inche in body. One is pure orange, the other is getting there. Pics will be uploaded for anyone interested. Small one was kind of a rescue so has frayed fins. I will be treating both with prazipro soon to prepare them for safe transfer to another home. :) Though another quarantine is recommended.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could pay shipping. But perhaps a deal could be brokered.

I have two ponds one 10,000 gallon with koi and a 2500 gallon that I used to breed koi. It is now home to one waykin and soon to be orandas. I dont think I can do shipping right now but if you still have them in a couple of weeks I will take them and the can live very happy in a lot of water. My qt tank is a 800 gallon dream pond show tank.

That sounds great! They should be pretty happy with orandas. Will see if it works out. :) You've made me very happy and sad at the same time.

I can post pictures of their life some if that makes you feel some better, I know how hard it can be. Traveled the same road with some koi before the 10,000 gallon build. what would shipping be to 35501 ? By the way my pond fish get microbe lift pellets, frozen shrimp ( no tails of course) cherrios , frozen peas, watermelon and oranges :)

I don't know but I might be able to pay like half or something if that helps. I need to figure out how much water to pack them in. I've never done it before. >.> I'll ask someone experienced on the forum. I saw a thread a little bit ago. It could be as much as 200 dollars (I just punched in worst case scenario) but I bet I could cut that down a lot with clever packaging.

It would be cool if you took pics of them for me. And I know at least one of them enjoys water melon :D

where are u both located? the one fish is 2" long correct? the other shorter?

look, 2nd priority will work fine if your both in the usa. get a strofoam box, or strofoam, cut it and line a box(no gaps) go to the lfs ask for 2 bags(1 for each fish) put 1/3 water 2/3 air. fill the rest of the box with junk-packing peanuts, bags of air, etc. mail out. very easy. hope this helps you, and i have no idea what a telescope fish is. a koi maybe?

Have you tried contacting your local aquarium club? I just Googled new jersey aquarium society and came up with this:

North Jersey Aquarium Society
66 Oak Street
Carteret, NJ 07008-1729
(732) 541-1392

I calculated the distance between those zip codes - I'm not sure how accurate this is, but it looks like that's just 13 miles away from you.

I doubt it will be $200 to ship two goldfish, but it could definitely be $50 or so. You will need to give them each their own bag, about 4 lbs of water each, fast them beforehand for a couple of days (no food at all) and use something like "Bag Buddies" in the shipping water. Kordon Breather Bags are highly recommended. Check your temps also, it's hot in the south! You might need a cool pack.

Mrs. Moose sounds like she can provide an awesome home, but there might be someone more local that can also give them a nice home and it would spare them the stress of shipping. Especially if these fish are googly eyed, which makes them more vulnerable to being bumped around, and also if one is a rescue and feeling less than 100%, the stress of shipping could have a negative effect.

I thought the fish club might be a gamble but I will call! It depends on how people there feel about keeping goldfish. I hope they treat them well. :o Its the big one I'm more worried about. The little one is very perky. The larger one was sick but is in good recovery. But if its a few weeks before shipment it should be good.

Telescopes are a type of fancy goldfish.

Wow, Mrs. Moose! Both my goldfish and I want to come live in your pond, just for the buffet. Good luck with the relocation!! :)
