ok so i am saving up about 300-400 dollars for this 55 gallon planted tank and i need to know everything i will need to successfully run it. This includes co2, lights, substrate, ferts, filter, and anything else i will need.
so can anybody just gimme an idea of a list or products you recommend.

Instead of relying on other to tell you anything, you are far better off starting in the Newbie Section. I am not trying to denigrate but rather to let you know you need to do most of the work on your own and then ask questions if you don't understand. Knowing where to find the answers is more helpful than being told what to do.

Also checkout the planted tanks section and do some reading. There is far too much to learn just to be told "Do 'XYZ' because I do it". Once you learn the basics it becomes much easier to expand and to go in a direction of your choosing rather than someone else's tastes. Water varies from place to place and what works in one place may not work in another. This is where learning the basics come in handy.

Pay special attention to cycling a tank. It is the most important part of the hobby. Once a tank has cycled and you maintain it, it becomes routine. There are many parts that is done without thinking, but it first needs to be learned and the reasons why. I know you have been here a while but you really need to think of this as a new beginning.

ok im guessing i said it wrong, ive been keeping planted tanks for about 2 years but they were all low tech and not really involving high powered lights or compressed co2.
i guess wat im saying is what equipment do you "pros" out there recommend as to lighting, co2,ect for a 55 gallon.
