i got an upside down cat named Off-a-Slice, and i was wanting to add about 3 more upsidedown cats but i want to be able to tell Off-a-slice apart from all the others, is there anyway to do so. seems like Off-a-Slice has the ablility to change the color of his spots so theres no sense in counting spots.

If you look at fish with care you will notice details no two fish are the same. there is always a fin longer a spot darker, a line longer. As you get to know your fish you will be able to tell them apart. Some fish are harder than others like neons, zebras, etc...

Yup, a school of twenty neons will be difficult. I have no problem telling my three bronze cories apart.

your right, i can tell 4 out of the 6 of my neons apart. i was going to get baby cats, i just dont want the new cats to grow quickly and look like him.
