temp for african cichlids?

i have electric yellow cichlids, socolofi, a JD, and Mollies in a 72 F temp tank. is this a good temp?

Around 80 degrees fahrenheit is right for Africans.

yes. that would probably be a good idea since its going to start getting pretty cold.

I keep all my tanks in the range of 80-82. I also have overkill in the heater department as I sleep with my windows open in the winter.

i turned the heat up, but my cichlids seem miserable. they aren't active anymore. they are just like in one place. did i raise the temp too suddenly?

It might be too sudden... Changing from 72F to 80-82F in how long it takes to raise the temp of the aquarium water with the heater.
