Temperature of tank?

HI
Thanks for the quick replys
Ha OMG I have just looked @ the thermometer and I have read it wrong (only got it the other day) the temperature at the moment is sitting @ 86 and that's after 50% water change so ummmm yeh it was high!!!!!!
Around 90!!! The tap water itself really doesn't seem much cooler......I could start to add ice but that will certainly keep me on my toes.......and no, no
heater.
Think I may have answered my own question!!
Like I say all other fish seem fine it's just the guppies in that tank that are dropping on their arses, oh and the peppered cory that was fine one minute and then I looked back about 5 min later and he was dead. I have looked him over and his colours are gorgeous and no sign of any disease......so must just be the heat.

I had the same problem with my heater a little while ago. No matter what temp I set it to it kept the water at 90 degrees F. Quite a few fish deaths and some serious evap problems.

Good idea, Thanx for the advice I will get organised..........
Losing guppies does make me sad, but be devastated if I lose any of the others!!!

Wow that sucks, what fish did you lose? and did they all die at once? Like around the same time?
I just couldn't beleive it today as I was hooking them out a gorgeous yellow guppy looked at me and died! as well as the Peppered Cory!!!
I freaked and done water change but yeh the tap water here is not that cold bloody fish keeping how much of your life does it take up!!!!!! but would we want it any other way!!!!!

Lost a few corys and a dwarf gourami that was becoming ill anyways (poor thing). Somehow the danios and other corys I had at the time managed to survive...luckily I noticed soon enough to get another heater fast!

Ahhh lucky you noticed!!!
I haven't had much luck with Dwarfs I think they are really moody so pretty but just moody. They just sat in the corner of the tank made bubble nests and then died! very aggresive if anyone came near them! Maybe I'm wrong but yeh that's my experiance................

Just got home and female betta is dead!!!!!
This is just crazy think I may start to treat tank !!!! She has haemorrhaging
around her gillson one side!!!!!!

Maybe add an airstone to the tank. Oxygen may be very low in the tank.

Thanks for that, I have been thinking about the oxygen level but I run an internal power filter and a corner filter in it, it feels like the tank has been poisoned!!!!! which I know it hasn't.........I did buy some new flake a couple of days ago that I have never used before which has been fed to them for the past couple of nights......................
I have just lost my oldest cory I have had her for nearly 2 years, so I am pretty gutted at the moment.
I have just transferred her to another tank but I think it's too late. She holding on but only just so it's only a matter of time.
I just don't know what has happened I know we are experiancing it hot at the mo but I live in the tropics and it's hot all year and I have never had this prob.
She was on her back,I can not handle seeing any of the other fish eating her so have put her in a bucket as my ph levels are set different in my other tanks, she seems good now!!!!
I going to bed I sure hope she pulls through......
THanks for everyones advice.........

Running a fan over the surface of the water is great advice. It will certainly help but then keep an eye on water levels. You will have more evaporation. Lowering the surface of the water and or adding some kind of air stone powered by an air pump will help oxygenate the water. With the temps. of the water that high there is not as much oxygen in the water for the fish.
