My 25g is reaching the end of its cycle and now I gotta try and figure out what to put in it. I've got a rough idea what I'd like to have in my tank, but suggestions/advice would be very welcomed.

General conditions lately:
pH ~ 7.6
gH ~ 8dH
kH ~ can't remember off the top of my head, but its on the higher side
temp ~ 76F/24C
no live plants as of yet. Hoping to get some 'idiot-proof' plants like Jmoss or Jfern until I can upgrade the lights.

Stocking ideas:
3-4 cory's that I've fallen in love with at the LFS
x? schooling fish like rummynose tetras
?? dwarf gourami or betta or peaceful cichlid that doesn't get too big for something colourful.

Am I on the right track? Is this a setup for overstocking (one of the cardinal sins ;) )? I'm definitely wanting a peaceful tank for the most part, so I'm not wanting fish that are very territorial or aggressive. There is caves and spots that can be claimed in the tank. There's a crappy picture linked in my sig of the overall setup.

ANywayz :) Thanks in advance!

any idea what kind of cories you're looking at?

6-8 rummy nose tetras is a good number.

Rams are a good choice for a community tank cichlids, the blue rams can get very colorful as they mature. They stay small and like to be in pairs.

How about a couple of otos for algae cleaning duty?

there wasn't any breed specs on the tanks, but my guess is bronze, albino and either a bandit or panda corys. I don't think any of those varieties get too large.

The last few times I've been at my LFS I haven't seen rams or anything closely resembling a ram. Also haven't seen otos. I'm not super concerned about algae since my lighting is quite low and the room with the tank doesn't get much, if any sunlight. The LFS doesn't label its tanks too well so its hard to know what I'm getting, but on the plus side, I'm getting better with species recognition. ;)
