Terminalia Catappa ,(almond Leaves)for Discus

I don't have a problem with you as a person, I've never met you or talked with you, so I can't judge you there, and wouldn't ever attempt to do so. I do not agree with the suggestions or info your giving out though, simply because I know first hand and have others who agree with me that do know what they are talking about that disagree with you. I don't claim to know it all, infact far from it, I learn more about discus every day, anyone involved with them seriously will tell you the same. I don't know it all about any fish, but I do know a lot, and I steer anyone I can toward those forums dedicated to discus rather than keep them here getting info that isn't too accurate by a lot of people just because they have kept a couple discus that way, well its not the way to do it but unfortunately most of those people will sit here and eat that stuff right up as truth and not go look anywhere else. This is a general forum, sure they have it divided up into other sections and this and that, but there are very few people on here who are seriously involved with this hobby, sure you guys who have 5 or 6 tanks may argue that with me, but there are a lot of people out there who have active breeding programs on what ever species of fish they have, going on in their basements or whatever who have anywhere from 30-100 tanks actively running at any given time. Those people are the serious ones, just because you keep a fish doesn't mean you know all about it, you need to be involved with every aspect of its life cycle before I will give you that credit, that means breeding, raising the young, and eventually raising them to adult hood. Sure there is a lot of info here, a lot of it good, but there is a lot more on the more specialized forums, this is not the place to be getting beginner info about discus for example, I put up an article which was supplemented by Puma on diseases and such, but it doesn't seem to have done much good. If your even thinking about getting into discus at the very least read it, and really go to the other Forums that are dedicated to discus, you'll get much much better info about them and much better consistancy. The people there walk their talk, have tried things, have failed doing some things, and have found what is practical and what works.
