anyone happen to have used both or one and want to comment on them?

the zoo med one seems to be nearly the same but has a single door versus the split doors, which I am leaning towards at the moment because I think it looks a bit nicer, but I like the Exo Terra light fixtures and the natural foam it comes with

I have a pacific tree frog that I'm going to put in it.

A few months ago I bought a 18"x18"x24" Exo Terra for my pair of Lygodactylus williamsi. It's a great design and the two swing out doors are what make it so awesome. It's so much easier to work in the cage than a normal aquarium. The Zoomed ones are basically the same but with a single door. They're also cheaper but the two doors on the Exo Terra are a strong selling point for me. I'd like to upgrade my Crested Geckos to a similar sized Exo Terra.

I have 4 of the Exo-Terras (3-18"x18"x24" & 1-36"x18"x18") and 4 of the ZooMeds (2-12"x12"x18" & 2-18"x18"x18") and I definitely prefer the Exo-Terras. The locking mechanism on the ZooMeds is a pain and it makes opening and closing the enclosure difficult. I also like the hoods that Exo-Terra makes and they fit better on the Exo-Terras (naturally). They are of course more expensive and either are good enclosures, I simply prefer the Exo-Terras.

I currently have a 12x12x12 and 18x18x24 Exo-Terra, I upgraded from an 18x18x18. I personally do not like anything about the design of the ZooMeds. The single door is a pain, the latch isn't that great, the light fixtures hang inside and you have to buy the background seperately. I'm hooked on the Exo's and will continue to buy them as needed.

To add to my previous post, I just had the cheap plastic latch handle on the door of one of the ZooMeds shear in half. After using a credit card to open the tank, I ended up having to file down the latch and now I'm relying on a lock to keep the tank closed. Get the Exo-Terra!
