Test kit readings.

Good morning everyone.

Just done a test on my main tank and the readings are..........

Ammonia..... no color matching the chart its in between the 0 and 0.025

Nitrite..... same again no color matching the chart its in between the 0 and 0.05

Nitrate..... in between 10 and 15.no color matching the chart so this is just a guess.

PH 8.2.

Temp 28

Alk is reading low at 0-1.6 why is this so low?

Salinity.....1.025

Phos.....0.5 this has come up from 0.1

The test kit i am using is Red sea Marine lab.

Don't know if my tank has cycled or not now.

Any advise please.

Sorry i dont have that type of kit but AMMO. and RITES need to be a defenite 0 to be cycled....

yeah, those readings will have to be zero. Shouldn't be too long from now. very close.

for alkalinity... what type of salt are you using? have you used any buffers?

also, 28 F degrees is very very cold. freezing... oh wait... you're prolly from the u.k. 28 C. hehe. dumbas$.

yea u want them to be zero for sure. 28 is a bit high if that is celcius...u want it to be more like 26C. and yea what do u use to buff the alk?
