should i get this for my angelfish? it says its good for them but i want an opinion from you guys before i buy. it says it conditions the water and softens it. the water hardness here is about 150.

pointless unless you're trying to get them to spawn. Fishes will adapt to the PH and water hardness, you just want to keep the PH stable.

most of the different chemicals that stores sell are pointless and end up causing more harm than good from drastic changes and such. if you wish to soften your water than add drift wood or peat or something like that and just let it happen on its own

It's really up to you. The angel fish would like it but not need it. IMO angel fish will spawn in almost any kind of water. If you plan some dward cichild (apisto, ect), or discus the the black-water tonic is more important.

It does darken the water some.... so..up to you.
