Tetra Easy Balance?

my three gallon takes me about 10 minutes total to do a water change on, if that. But yeah, there are also hormones and such which are released into the water which can only be taken out with water changes.

only real issue wioth small tanks like a 2 g..they are subject to extreme changes.

If the easy balance is a dechlorinator, use it. I wouldn't use it for anything else. Next time you go to the petstore get you some Prime. It's made by Seachem. This is the best dechlorinator on the market, IMO.

EDIT: Well I just checked it out, It's not a dechlor. So I wouldn't use it. Do you have dechlor to use for water changes?

lol. ;)
Because of the fact that it takes about 30 mins to get set up, relocate fish, remove the decorations, suck up the uneaten food one thing at a time with my makeshift gravel vac (aka a turkey baster), remove water by hand to outside or the kitchen, put everything back together, and all of that.
It makes me wish I didn't have that UGF.

And because it's not cycled yet you have to be extra careful. :P

It's not. I do use a water conditioner though.
I dunno still sounds pretty cool. I will try using it when my tank has cycled.

My suggestion would be to switch around how you are doing your water changes to make it easier on yourself. First you don't really need to remove your fish or the decorations. Then I would remove the water to a bucket that you can empty in one trip. I clean my 5 gallon tank in under 5 minutes every week. Water changes should get faster as you continue to do them.
