Tetra EasyBalance

Anyone else seen this crap? It supposedly makes your tank "balanced" for 6 months, and you only need to do a water change twice a year.

That kinds seems the same as spraying yourself with Febreze and only taking a shower twice a year

Yeah, I've seen it...and yes, I think it's one of those Jungle Products. I'm thinking Jungle snuck a Tetra label on this EasyBalance thing and didn't think anyone would notice.
Seriously though, when are companies going to understand that coming out with these bogus cures, (especially Jungle) just lower their reputation to the people that are supposed to sell it? I have never sold a Jungle product, nor do I intend to. Besides Mardel meds, the only chemical I've ever sold a customer is Stress Coat and Cycle.

Cycle is as bad or worse than Easybalance. They're both pretty high on the "garbage scale" in my book...

i like to use it when i'm away on holiday (i don't trust anyone else to do water changes properly) as it locks up nitrates and phosphates, but the rest of the time, it's just snake oil...
