i want to start a tetra tank, if i get groups of different types of tetral will they stick with the others of thier type so that it looks like there are schools of different types of fish?
i know for a fact tha if you buy penguin tetras taht are similar size to black neon tetras they will grow and school togetther but when the penguins get bigger they wil llook out for the black neons. also, neon and cardnials wil probably school together hope that helps
Tetra's need to be kept in schools with others of there own kind. Buying two of ten different kinds of tetra's will not give you a school of twenty. What you'll have is twenty fish constantly swimming around looking for more of their own kind. Believe it or not one large school of the same species always looks better than a slum of a bunch of different fish.
