Most water for my smaller tanks is simply aged. If I do need to use anything I tend to use Wardely's product as it just gets rid of chlorine and doesn't add anything else like aloe. Most use the same base chemical so they are all fine with chlorine. Some don't do the job with chloramines though.

I always use Prime. I've tried others and go back to Prime. Why? Some just downright stink :) Some have stupid measuring instructions, ie: 1 capful per 30 gallons, some promise too much.

Three of my LFS sell other brands, but they only use Prime in their tanks.

I buy the biggest bottle of Prime I can find and then refill my smaller 1-drop bottles. I use the small bottles for my small tanks.

I live out in the boonies. My water comes from my 550-foot deep well ... no chlorine in it. All I have to do is watch the pH, hardness, and nitrates, depending upon the season and rainfall. <g>

Prime rules!!!!!!!!!!! I use prime. it is my favorite. Sometimes I use stress zyme, too.
I would use prime but I use aquasafe instead simply because I have copper pipes in my house and aquasafe neutralizes heavy metals, and Prime does not, or at least they don't say they do.

I only use Aqua Plus from Nutrafin. Reason? Well, when I bought my first betta and tank, the tank came with this 'betta' water conditioner. When I went to the store the betta conditioner only came in a tiny little bottle so I bought the Aqua Plus, in a bigger bottle. Wow.

My betta thrived. All the sudden he seemed more active and happy. Didn't change anything else, so I guess it's the conditioner. Just my experience, but I love it!

Just a note- I noticed a while back someone said Stress Zyme.

Stress Zyme does not remove the chlorine and stuff. Stress Coat is the product that AP makes for that.
