Tetras & Betta?

Well, not a betta, but I have a gourami in QT with some cardinal tetras (bought from a store with central filtration). They're fine, in fact the gourami has decided he's a tetra and schools with them. :)

I would keep the other tank set up and keep an eye on them for a while, just in case.

I have a 20 gallon with a variety of fish, including a betta and they get along perfectly fine. I have 2 glo-lights, 3 pristellas, 1 black phanton, and two angelfish and never had a problem with the betta, except when the pet store sold me an aggressive catfish, when it was supposed to be a peaceful variety. Needless to say when I woke up in the morning 90 % of the betta's fins were gone. the catfish went back to the petstore and the betta was nursed back to health is still doing fine with his tank mates

Good save on the betta! :D Thanks for the info! I'm going to throw him in there next weekend and see how it goes- this way I can watch him for a full day.

Yeah, just watch the Betta for a few days. He'll probably get really close to some fish just to check things out. Only worry if he's constantly flaring at them.
