Well, I have 7 (6 neon,1 glowlight) tetras, and they sometimes drift away for a minute from the school. Is that normal? Also one of my tetras seem to be getting a big belly, filled with eggs? Dosent that mean that my water conditions are almost perfect?

Schooling fish don't always school tightly. If there isn't a larger, intimidating fish in the tank, they may not school at all...just form a loose group. So drifting from the school is perfectly normal.

With neons and glowlights, the fatter looking ones are usually female. My females are alot more plump than my males. It doesn't necessarily mean they have eggs....might just mean they are female.
