tetratec filter

I have one in the basement that is currently unused. I found it way too noisy, making a slurping sound as the "wet-dry" area flushes. It was an OK filter I guess. I can give you a deal, if you want one and some new cartridges.

I use one on my FW tank. Had a bigger one I used on my planted tank. I thought they did a good job as far as evenly heating the water (had the heating units that went inside them), and did a good job of circulating the water/filtering it also, but I personally wouldn't use it for a saltwater setup, as I imagine with the sponge and the cartridges it would be a mess.

it wouldnt be much diffent than a canister with the cartidges right? I dont want a refugium. I have a DSB and im going to make a small box that will hold some brillo alage. so in a way the refugium is built into the tank.........

I have a wet dry that im about to sell but i have need to i can keep it, but I dont like having the overflow box. It slurps and i have to adjust it every other day because of evaporation. So I figured Tetratec filter (either the 60 gallon one or the biger one), and a skimmer (the visi jet until i get a new JEBO). All this plus 4inch sand bed and few pieces of LR and a small patch of macro, I should do just fine. Right??????????????????????????????????????

cant wait to hear from you Mogurnda!
