Texas cichlid not eating

It might also be eating when you're not watching. I have some fish like that. My Texas Cichlid has survived two tank changes and two beatings from my polleni. They're tough fish. Mine is about four inches now.

A healthy fish should eat within a day to day and a half after transporting. If it doesn't it most likely has internal parasites, which could be treated with meds.

No changes yet, it was with the LFS for a month b4 i bought it, just a 5 min ride from my house, and it does not look stressed. apart from it not eating there is no problem.
garlic did not help.

Ok after due thought it was time for drastic measures, the garlic worked but in a different way. i put about 50 flakes of chopped garlic directly in the tank and left it overnight. next da morning i saw the poor guy skimming the surface for food. he was not able to eat any of the big pellets. he startes eating fine tubifex worms. i have to crush the cubes into coarse powder and he eats these. not eating much but this seems to be an improovement. i will be doing a WC on sunday so i think i will add some more garlic now and remove it tomorrow morning, followed by regular feedings.
hope he attains a good appetite...... thanks for all your help i will keep you guys and gals updated with the results
