texas cichlid

Hello, I am new to the cichlid species I have always had red tailed cats, as I know quite a bit about cats I know very little about cichlids I purchased a texas cichlid and I dont know if it is a common one or a short body, or i hear they also can be green/red texas cichlids. Please help me, as I am a NOOBIE hehehe

Just looks like a regular Texas Cichlid, IMO... possibly a Juvenile Green Texas, but def. not a Red. Nice looking Nimbochromis venustus, I assume. Hoping to get a few myself to put with my Nimbochromis livingstonii.
