Hey, thanks for the info. guess i didn't think this was a small pond because we don't have anything else to compare it to. we do have a skimmer and a waterfall with a filter media in it, so water stays pretty clean on top, but i wondered if goldfish eat algae cause we still feed them 2x per day and i don't know if this is too much food. we also have a pleco, but i haven't seen it since the first second we put it into the water. is it possible to add too much beneficial bacteria to the water, and what happens if i do?
thanks again for the advice.

They will eat algae, more so if lightly feed. They will usually eat everything you give them but twice a day is not too much if proper quantities-5 minutes of feeding- are kept.

That is normal for a pleco. Usually the algae staying under control is the only sign they are still in there.

Not sure what you mean by adding too much beneficial bacteria.
