Yes many years ago I had a pair of kissing gouramis. One of them died after about a year but the other one went on for another seven years. He even moved over the penines with me when i moved houses. What a fish!
One of my dwarf sunset coral platies has been with me almost from the start. She has survived my mistakes and numerous fish deaths in tanks than were undersized (not overstocked, just too small for a beginner to effectively take care of). She now lives in my 10 gallon and is the cutest little fish I own. She has survived about a year now despite living in poor water quality for a good part of the first half.

Platies are a really hardy fish and are very forgiving. I have 5 mickey mouse platies and I really love em! I am glad she is still going strong :dance:
