Hoping the roads will be cleared in the am. I saw a 55g complete setup on the website on clearance for $199 (store only). I'll either get that or a stand for my 37g that's currently living in the garage.

Anyway, this will become my angel tank. Right now I have one 50 cent piece size angel in a 55g. I want to get the new tank set up, cycled and have an angel tank. My lonely little angel is being stressed by the glofish and others at meal time. He/she has to make do with nibbling on the plants right now.

Gonna go with sand, I think, for substrate. Lots of plants. Black background. For the time being, I won't need anything for algea removal. Have to look into that down the road.

If I go with the 37, can I put 2 more angels? or just one more? I figure down the road a couple of snails and maybe an oto or 2.

If I do get the 55g, how bout 3 angels and a small school (8 or so) of neon tetras? Snails, otos down the road?

if that is the regular 55 set up that is the normal price here in ny petland discounts or petco sell them unless you are getting the stand but they sell those with the tank for $89 no hood so $10 but maybe $20 by its self then $200 for the ful set up

I think the angels will eat the neons. There will be those that disagree, which is fine. But not something I would recommend.

RB is probably right on the Neons. Maybe try a smaller school of larger Tertas such as Red-Eyes. That is what I am doing in my tank.

yeah i guess it is good you get a wood stand does it some with a filter

I have two fifty cent size Angels in my 55. I also have 5 rummy nose tetras. Much to my dismay the rummies kind of harass the Angels. They will probably get themselves moved to another tank. I'm not sure I'd put any active tetras in with Angels anymore.
