That's what's fun about cichlids!!

Why do I like SA & CA cichlids? Because of their atitude, size, and lastly, their beauty. My favorite part of raising them is watching them battle it out for what they want, which is territory or dominance in the tank. When they fight, they don't fight to death. One of the two has to run away when it knows it's not superior. After that, it can get harrsed to death, yeah. But I would never let that kind of stuff happen. I let them fight just to let them do their thing, and to watch to see and know what my fish are all about.
Why do people get angry when we talk about mean fish fighting?? Like the moderators here, and their geeky friends. Their taking the fun talk away. We talk about the main fun of cichlids and they have to cry and end our discusion. I love cichlids for my own reasons, and you have your own. I can respect that. I like them mainly for their aggression and atitude. Can't I talk about that? Im sure Im not the only one here who like them for those reasons. I carelees if I get kicked off this site. What's the point of being here if I can't get treated fairly?
 
do the fish get treated fairly, even if there is overbearing incompatibility, Sorry i had to do it
 
I've been to a cockfight, was the most redneck thing I've ever seen. I didn't see why they spend so much money on a rooster just to have it killed.

Maybe you and your friends can get a small 5 gallon and have Betta fights or cichlid fights,whichever floats your boat, and bet money on it.
 
Don't get me wrong. I love animals and I take very good care of them. People think Im an abuser or something.
It's not about fighting them. Fighting is what they do at times. That's their nature, fight to defend their territory. And I find it interesting in cichlids.. So that's one of the part I like about the hobby and I have people giving me hard times for discussing about it.
Before cichlids, I only liked bettas. I used to think all other fish we're boring and a waist of money til I learned about cichlids.
What's the big deal about a little fish quarrel anyway? People fight too right? They even schedule and make bets on em!
And these are only discussions. I feel it would be right for you to stop me if I fight fish, but Im not. Im discussing. If it's not your kind of topic then it might be other's. Why can't we discuss about our hobby? People have different thoughts you know? Moderators gotta go and close our discussions up. That is so rude.
 
I am sure your one of those people who fights betas and whatever else you own, being a responsible fish keeper means you control mother naure and need to give fish their space so they dont fight.

BTW I hope you do get kicked off the site ASAP, as I have not seen you contribute 1 pice of usefull info yet.
 
:coffee2: can people realy get kicked off this site?... well im an animal lover also and when my fish have a battle which at times they do i will seperate for a while rearange my tank and put them back seams to work but mostly they just claim territory and there is a difference. i do belive we should have freedom of speach. and say what we like and sometimes good info comes from strange places. well enogh of my blah blah

You're sure Im one of those people huh? You've been stalking and doing research on me?? Creep...
About me not contributing useful info, Im sorry if Im not useful for you. I contribute whatever I know. Not that I don't want to. But does it have to be that way? What if I don't know much.? You're just one of those selfish people that expects giving. So if your friend was poor and didn't have much to give, you wouldn't want to be his friend anymore huh? Im sure you're one of those people.

:coffee2: Im actually having coffee as Im typing this too.. You're right. Good info do pop out in strange places. And I think the moderators should be moderators instead of trying to be parents, and closing up peoples discussions. It's not like Im being dirty or anything ya know?
