Pm'd Hope I didn't miss the train....

Zigman came through!! All the shrimpies made the journey. I lost one to my cichlid that was getting picked on as he was hanging out in the new tank. Needless to say he went back into the larger tank. We'll wait until these guys grow up.....thanks!

Hi. I like the picture on the first page, but from other pics I've seen of other people's shrimps, one shrimp doesn't necessarily represent the whole group. Do you have any more pics? I am looking for bright red ones.
It sounds like a great deal!
Thanks!

Clare,
Shrimp coloration depends on alot of factors, IMO most RCS will redden up very nicely if given the right care.

As with fish, stress has alot to do with coloration, as well as a balanced diet, I try to feed mine both meaty, and vegetable type foods. Proper lighting, and a stable environment also are factors in shrimp coloration, I find that they seem to color up very well in my discus tank, which is about 85F and maintains a nitrate level in the mid 20's.

A berried females coloring will turn very deep red, almost a solid color, and that picture you speek of is a berried female from my discus tank.

If you like, you can click on the link in my signiture below and see some more pix in the 10 gal RCS farm thread.
