Looks more redish than black.. kinda like Grins' brittle, but not as distict coloring.. could be the lighting. Good choice for a brittle though... it ain't green.

green ones get GIGANTIC!!!! I have heard of them being 18" across. AKA the "Green Monster"

Do they kill fish? Has yours? I don't think that the GF has. Hers isn't as big as this one.

Here is my neighbors about 2 years ago.. it is a lot bigger now. In the picture it is about 10" tip to tip.. now it is around 16". But no, it has never killed a fish.. eaten a few dead ones, yes, but not killed.

They have a reputation for hiding in the top of caves where fish sleep and then dropping down on them at night.
