The 75gal reef tank cycle has started!!!!!!!

These are the first fish for the new 75gal. They are now in QT in our Bio-Cube 8. We got three new little guys. There so cool looking. First one is a Algae Blenny. We picked him because one, He had cool coloring and two, there was this other bigger Algae Blenny chasing him all over the tank they were in. We felt bad for him so we saved him. Next is a Bi Colored Blenny. Ashlee really liked this little guy and I really like his color and spots that come and go. Last is a Yellow Watchman Goby. We wanted one of these guys from the beginning. I think he will make a good addition to the tank and we wanted to get him in as one of the first fish to go in so he can stake him claim to the tank.

So these are the new guys. Now we just have to wait a month and they will finely be in there home.

We also got another 5.5lb of LR I'll get some pictures when Ash gets the Aqua Scaping done. She played with the rocks a bit but dosen't really like it yet. She was tired and had to goto bed. I'm sure she'll work on it tomorrow.

That means we have half the rock we need for the tank. I have to say that you guys are right when you say that the rock is the most exspensive part of a setup. We paid $47.00 for 5.5lb.

Well I hope you enjoy the pictures. They are a bit fuzzy but it is tuff to get a good shot it the Bio-Cube.

Looking good! I bet your excited to finally have some fish. Just keep an eye out on that bi-colored blenny. My two experiences with them was they are not all that hardy, and they are a little on the aggressive side. Not terrible like a damsel or anything, just a little territorial and both of the ones I have seen loved to eat xenias.

FYI Algae Blenny = Lawnmower, or for short, LMB, just so others don't get too confused.

Yeah I figured that out last night about the Lawnmower. I thought so but the girl at the store called it a algae blenny.

Yeah like I said I thought it was a lawn mower so i looked it up and I was right. I was just calling it that because the girl at the store told us that it was an Algae Blenny. I guess it's both.

Now they said that it will eat fish flake and pellet foods but he just seems to be picking off the bugs on the glass. Is there something else we should put in for him/them to eat while there in QT?

Ok I'll try that! Thanks

We need help IDing something we found in the tank.

I wanted to check out the new rock we got last night with the flash light tonight so I turn on the flash light and pointed it at the tank. When I did I see this line moving around the tank. At first I though it might be a salt drip that dried on the glass and the line was the shadow that would move when I moved the light. Then I realized that I wasn't moving the light. So I called Ash over to check it out. She loudly says that she thinks it might be bad and to try and catch it. I grab a net and scooped it up. We put it in a jar and still have it. We have a good video of it but can't get it uploaded because they are changing the site. That means I have to try and explain what it looks like to you nice people and hope I don't sound like one of those people trying to make the sound there car is make to there mechanic.

It looks like a worm to me. It's about 5/8" long, about 1/32 wide, and white. It swims really fast and it wiggles like a ribbon.

I know that is a bit vague but that is the best I can do. It would be so much easier if I could post the vid. If anyone has any idea please help? I don't want to get ride of it if it isn't bad.

Thank for any help you might give.

Sean,
