The 75gal reef tank cycle has started!!!!!!!

Yeah I put a paper towel over my flash light to dim and diffuse the light. Then I put the light up against the glass so you can't see the reflection they run but not right away. I move it very slow across the glass.

I am getting those rock things also. I have been hitting them with hot water in a syringe.

You got red marker? put suran wrap on light then use the marker or better yet if its a cheap light just color it red lol food coloring should work or even a red nailpolish from your g/f lol gee thats got to be easier for you lol
nail polish would be my choice can be removed easily lol
cant get it in the doller store lol
better yet if you go to the doller store they have these kits for kids in the toy section , with window hangers , where you paint them like stained glass always red in them .
darn i have a kit in our treasure chest , and i waisted the money on the red light grrrrr .
i will dig it out and see how that works tonight .

It's going. I think we are going to get our first fish for the 75gal today.

As soon as the lights are out my yellow coris wrasse somehow dissapears. I have no idea where it goes and no matter how hard I look I can't find it.
I can't remember what substrate you have, but my guess is he's buried himself in the sand as they tend to do when scared, at night, etc. Watch him when the lights go out and I bet you'll watch him dive right in the sand.

you must be excited :-)

Yes we are but we called the LFS to see if he got his shipment in and he had yet. He said that because of the holiday the shippers couldn't get a direct flight so they didn't ship. He said he might have the Watchmen in tonight and to call back later.

Are you getting the pair of clowns? Or a watchman? Or all 3?

We were going to get a pair of clowns and a yellow watchmen for the first fish. Now i think we might get a watchmen and a fire fish but I'm not sure. We want them all but we might wait on the clowns so we can have them in the QT by them selves.
