The blanched spinach was a hit!

Well, the blanched spinach was gobbled down so quick, the fish loved it! I tried the slice of zucchini yesterday and nobody seems to have touched it.
Should I be cooking it slightly so that it's softer?

Update

An update on my prior post- I checked this morning and the goldfish have eaten all but the skin of their zucchini, and the CAEs have eaten the inner core of their zucchini. I think they just weren't sure what to 'do' with the new veggie. I doubt that they got veggies before I bought them. Thank you to all who e-mailed. :dance
