Here's what I netted after posting for cheap and free local aquariums. I requested half hour driving radius because if one drives long distances, a good deal goes up in gas money. Finding good deals five hours away does no good.

60 gal hex for $425...Um yeah....Maybe if I quit paying rent I could afford it.
Other people and their craiglist deals...:irked:

yeah...I've been looking for a 20L. No luck around here. One lady wanted $200 and wouldn't budge.

interesting, i'm on the hunt for some regular tanks right now. Anyone in the Harrisburg PA area that might want to trade or buy my tanks I'll be selling them shortly.
42 gallon hex (no stand as of right now)
60 gallon bow w/ a stand
I am addicted to cl. i look like 5 times a day.. and PA is huge so I stupidly look in far away places..

Just have to be patient and check the ads every day. I search for aquarium, tank, fish, and sometimes aquariums, fish tank. Check the free ads too. I've picked up 120 lbs of live sand with a lot of extras and a 300 watt heater.

I'm mostly looking for smaller tanks in the 20-40 gal range or hex tanks/tall tanks.
Too bad you're too far away in PA.
I want it to either replace one of my setups, fit on one of my existing stands or fit under my 55 gal at my parents house.

PS: I have looked every day for a long time now, though I wasn't looking for more tanks until I needed one for my betta spawning.

try searching the different categories on craigslist too. sometimes you'll find fish tanks in the general and furniture. try searching different word(aquarium, fish, fish tanks, etc)

Yesterday at my LFS. We have a bulletin board for local sales on puppies, fish, tanks etc..
I saw a 20H, Stand, Heater, Hood, Pump w/ airstone and extra tubing and AquaClear filter for $40, so everything but the light.

I think I'll be jumping on that deal!

I was able to find a 75 gal tank for $20, and I actually saw someone giving a 90gal away for free but I missed it. I was so sad lol. I just check every day, a few times per day and you will see deals pop up eventually.
