New to this forum and have read many of your posts. It is a pleasure to see the "fish room" as a whole. Nicely Done, & Thank you for the inspiration. How do you guys manage the logistical aspects; water changes and electricity for the equipment?

I have a subpanel for just the fishroom. One breaker is all the lights and its on a timer. There are outlets spaced around the room run to that timer. The whole room's filtraion is powered by a single linear pump that powers corner or sponge filters. The pump uses 80w of electricity total and can power up to 100 tanks. I only need heaters in about 6 of the tanks (discus, sulawesi, and freestanding tanks) as they mostly abut and tank temperature stays in the 70s. We heat our house with wood and plan to instal heat driven fans in the duct work to force more heat to the fishroom for next winter. We. Also h*ve a dehumidifier plumbed to a pump and the sewer line. water changes right now are standard. We will be putting in pvc around the base of the fishroom that will be tied into the pump leading to the sewer line so that I can have drain ports aroind the room. There will also be water line run along the ceiling line with portsz for refill. Its getting there!

I take it your not planning on moving anytime soon? :grinno:

Can I borrow your husband for a weekend or two? The fact that he makes those racks for you makes him total top notch in my book. I only need him to make a rack or two... ok maybe 3 or for but still :D
