Okay, so my 20 gallon tank now has 5 tetras, a bala shark and a pleco. Last night we went out for a couple of hours and when we got home we checked the fish to see how they were doing. In our tank we also have 4 fake plants and a castle. Our Serpae somehow managed to get himself stuck between the castle and the glass. He's never done that before and he looked so scared. We were able to set him loose but it took him the rest of the night to swim correctly. It looked like one of his fins fell asleep, like when your foot falls asleep. The cool part is that I caught the Black Skirt tetra helping the Serpae keep afloot. It was cute and endearing.

Thats a nice story! Hopefully your fish pulls through, it really depends how long it was stuck there (stress) and whether it or not it permanently injured itself. good luck.

Unfortunately, we have no clue how long he was stuck there. We were gone for a couple of hours. He developed some whiteness on him but it seems to be going away and he's doing much better now. They all seem happy in their environment. Although I do think the Bala Shark was teasing the Pleco last night.

Anyone else have any stories?

I once upon a time had those little albino sharks. I kept missing them, and when we moved I found all 4 of them had jumped to their death behind the tank! They somehow swam up the filter flow and jumped from there....only open place on the whole tank.

My cousin had an eel that jumped out of her tank and landed on the kitchen floor while she was gone to work. When she got home and found it she thought it was dead, so she peeled it off of the floor and it WIGGLED. Threw it back in the tank and the thing lived for another 4 years!
